Charles James Fox
1749 - 1806

English parliamentarian and respected orator. Fox's tumultuous political life was highlighted by battles with King George III, William Pitt, and with other ministers in the Cabinets in which he served as a minister. He is remembered as an inconsistent poltical opportunist, but as a consistent champion of individual liberties.
