Moshe Dayan 1915 - 1981 |
Israeli military general and politician. Dayan led Israeli forces to victory in the Arab-Israeli war of 1956 and the six-day war of 1967. He held various government ministerial positions in the subsequent years, and advocated peace, finally as Israel's Foreign Minister in 1977-1979. |
