Titus Livius
0059 - 0017

Roman historian, a.k.a. Livy, author of works now known as History of Rome, War With Hannibal, and others. Livius began his history Ab urbe condita (From the Founding of the City) in 26 B.C. and had not finished it when he died in 17 A.D. Only 35 of 142 books of his works have survived, but they continue to provide important pieces of early Roman history.
